Dr Chan specializes in retina diseases and surgery and has over 10 years of experience in retina surgery. He accepts new patients with referrals from ophthalmologists and optometrists only.
Dr Chan graduated from MIT with bachelor degrees in electrical engineering, chemistry and mathematics and Masters degree in electrical engineering. He graduated from Stanford Medical School and completed surgery internship in Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and Fellowship in Retina Diseases and Surgery at University of California Irvine. He is a board certified ophthalmologist. He is the Director of Retina Surgery at Gramercy Surgery Center in Queens.
He is also currently working on research and development of several emerging technologies iin retina surgery and is a holder of many patents.
